​​ Senior Accountant

 Job Description

  • ​Compare computer printouts to manually maintained journals in order to determine if they match.
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Handle all payroll information, including using R5, R6, R10, Etc…
  • Reconcile monthly cash and bank statements.
  • General Ledger maintenance.
  • Job Costing.
  • Monthly financial reports for management.
  • Perform other general office duties as needed.
  • Assist in all areas of operation as requested by management.
  • Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
  • Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies. Investigates questionable data.
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
  • Perform financial calculations such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal.
  • Compile budget data and documents, based on estimated revenues and expenses and previous budgets.
  • Calculate costs of materials, overhead and other expenses, based on estimates, quotations and price lists.
 Education and Experience
  • College graduate BA.
  • 2-3 Years experience in bookkeeping with an academic background in either finance, accounting or business management
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel)
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks software is preferable.
  • Professional presentation and conduct.
  • Must be responsible and self-managed.
  • Must have excellent follow-up and tracking skills.

 Job Description

  • Answering calls, taking messages and handling correspondence.
  • Maintaining diaries and arranging appointments.
  • Typing, preparing and collating reports.
  • Filing.
  • Managing databases.
  • Prioritising workloads.
  • Liaising with relevant organisations and clients.
  • Coordinating mail-shots and similar publicity tasks.
  • Logging or processing bills or expenses.
  • Acting as a receptionist and/or meeting and greeting clients.

 Education and Experience
  • High school diploma generally required
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software application
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
